NORMAN J. SCHMIDT, age 87, loving father of Mark, Eric (wife Lauren), Paul, and Christine Sivak (husband Jim); devoted grandfather of Hannah, Kayla, John, Amanda, Nathan, and Jennifer; dearest brother of Rosemary Schmidt Kanter, M.D. (husband Robert), Barbara Ann Schmitt (husband James) and his late twin Jerry (wife Betty, deceased) (wife Sue, deceased); dear uncle and great-uncle of many. U.S. Army Veteran.

Norman was born on November 15, 1928 in Dayton, Ohio and passed away on December 8, 2015. He was a resident of Warrensville Heights for 11 years previously of Shaker Heights and Cleveland Heights. Norman was a parishioner at St. Dominic Catholic Church and St. Ann Catholic Church in Cleveland Heights where he sang in the choir. Norman attended Chaminade High School in Dayton, Ohio, and the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati, where he graduated with a Master of Music Degree. He worked for Middleburg Heights Junior High School as a music teacher and taught privately. Norman loved sailing, music and gardening. His favorite music was classical, especially piano. Norman will be remembered most as a disciplined man who paid high attention to detail and had a great love for music.
