Norma Modic

NORMA M. MODIC (nee Beckett) age 87, beloved wife of the late Robert; loving mother of Robert J., Janet Dettorre (husband Greg) and James C; devoted grandmother of Gino; cherished daughter of the late Charles and Mabel (nee Michael) Beckett; dearest sister of the late Earl Beckett (wife Edna, deceased) and Edna Manion (husband Patrick); dear aunt and great-aunt of many.

Norma was born on December 31, 1928 in Barberton, Ohio and passed away March 28, 2016.  She graduated from Kenmore High School in Akron and moved to Richmond Heights in 1966.  Norma has also been a member of St. John of the Cross Catholic Church since that time.  She was a Cleveland Indians fan and liked to play cards, especially bridge.  Norma was a strong person who never complained in spite of her physical limitation.  She will be remembered for her strong faith, her sweet and shy nature, her sense of humor and for how giving and generous she was with her time.

Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, April 2, 2016 at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church at 10 AM. Cremation following by DeJohn Crematory. Private Inurnment at Lake View Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Norma at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) FRIDAY 4-8 PM.
