Niculina Rabasi

NICULINA RABASI (nee Vasiliu), age 86; of Newbury, Ohio, passed away on July 26, 2013, at her home. Niculina was born on November 25, 1926, in Bucharest, Romania, to parents Vasile and Elena (nee Masalas) Vasiliu. She was preceded in death by parents; brother, Dimitri (Lilly) Vasiliu; sister, Anastasia (Nicolie) Nitoiu; brother-in-law, Eftime Beicos; and nephew, Gregore (Tania) Nitoiu. On May 3, 1947, in Bucharest, Romania, Niculina Vasiliu married Giuseppe Rabasi, who preceded her in death. Surviving are their son, Romolo (Rachelle) Rabasi of Newbury; sister, Alexandra Beicos of Caracas, Venezuela; grandchildren, Giuseppe Rabasi, Renata (Jason) Riha, Romolo Rabasi, Jr.; and great-grandchildren Isabella Rabasi and baby Riha; nieces, Alicia, Marilena & Christina Beicos, Ileana (Ed) Mackins, Alexandra (Charlie) Smith and Tania Nitoiu.

Father Stephen Callos of Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral will be officiating the Funeral Service Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at 1 PM at THE DEJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY OF CHARDON (formerly Ritondaro) 126 SOUTH ST. (Rt. 44, south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square). Burial following in Munn Cemetery in Newbury.

Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Niculina at the Funeral Home MONDAY 6-9 PM.
