Nicholas Farkas

NICHOLAS A. FARKAS age 85, beloved husband for 37 years of the late Eileen (nee Zgonc); loving father of Michael Farkas (wife Dee), Kathleen Sonnert (husband Karl, deceased), JoAnn Kane (husband Patrick), Gary Simunich (wife Susan), Nancy Peters (husband Kent), Joseph Simunich (wife Gina), David Farkas and the late Theresa Farkas; devoted grandfather of Alicia Campbell, Brenda Farkas, Maggie, Sean and Alison Kane, Kelly, Alec and Jordan Simunich and great-grandfather of two; dearest brother of James (wife June);  dear uncle of James Farkas and Judy Detrick. U.S. Army Veteran.

Nicholas was born October 10, 1930 in Llewellyn, PA and passed away January 30, 2016. Nicholas was a former resident of Chesterland for 45 years.  He was a Tool & Die maker by trade and also played baseball in the minor leagues.  Nicholas enjoyed playing golf and gardening and loved watching the Cleveland Indians, Cavs and Browns.  Nicholas was selfless, kind-hearted and a good listener.  Friends and family will miss his gentle spirit.

Celebration of Life Service Friday, February 5, 2016 at 3 PM at THE FUNERAL HOME. Burial following with Military Honors at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Nicholas at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) FRIDAY 1-3 PM.
