Natalie Sykora

NATALIE H. SYKORA (nee Czacherski) age 101, beloved wife of the late Rudolph; loving mother of Louise Weidner (husband Terry), Richard (wife Joyce), Gerald (wife Deborah) and Thomas; devoted grandmother of 10 and great-grandmother of 17; cherished daughter of the late Teofil and Mary (nee Raczynski) Czacherski; dearest sister of the late Bruno Czacherski (wife Kay) and Joseph Czacherski; dear aunt, great-aunt and friend of many.

Natalie was a 97 year resident of Chardon and a devoted parishioner of the St. Mary Parish. She was active in the 50+ Club, the Bereavement Committee and donated her time generously. Natalie was involved with the Geauga Senior Center, Polish Club, and the YMCA. Natalie often participated in the Geauga and Lake County Fairs and had won awards for her flowers. She enjoyed bowling, swimming, playing cards, gardening, knitting, crocheting, and solving puzzles. She was a skilled Rummikub player who routinely outplayed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. With a ready smile and pleasant disposition, she showed those around her the meaning of love. She will be dearly missed.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Natalie’s memory to St. Mary Catholic Church 401 North Street Chardon, Ohio  44024 or Geauga YMCA 12460 Bass Lake Rd, Chardon, OH 44024. Cremation by DeJohn Crematory. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at St. Mary Catholic Church at 11:30 AM. Private burial at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Natalie at the church Wednesday 10:30-11:30 AM.
