Nasr Karam

NASR KARAM, age 97, beloved husband for 71 years of Selvi (nee Abounader); loving father of George (wife Mary Ann), John (wife Rania), Jack (wife Barbara), and Marina Lapurga (husband John); devoted grandfather of Samantha Karam (fiancé David Genualdi), Stacey Lapurga (husband Owen Miller), Grace Karam, Nicholas Karam, Gabriella Lapurga, Rachel Karam, Jenna Lapurga, Madeline Karam, Christopher Karam, Michael Lapurga, and Sarah Karam; cherished son of the late Abdallah and Sophia Karam; dearest brother of the late Hassan, Melia, Julia, and Akl Karam; treasured brother-in-law, uncle, great uncle, and friend of many.

Nasr was born February 11, 1927 in Aitaneet, Lebanon, the home he forever held in his heart. His love of farming and hunting, which he carried with him throughout his life, was cultivated in Aitaneet's rich soil. His greatest joy in life has always been spending time with his children and grandchildren. He will be remembered as a hard worker with unquestionable integrity and honesty. He was devoted to his faith. Nasr passed away peacefully on November 17, 2024 and will now rest peacefully in the arms of the beloved Virgin Mary.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Nasr to St. Maron Church. 

Mass of Christian Burial Friday, November 22, 2024 at St. Maron Catholic Church, 1245 Carnegie Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio at 10AM. Burial following at Calvary Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Nasr at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just east of Green Rd.) THURSDAY 4-8PM. Prayers of incense Thursday at 6PM.
