Nancy S. Lemay

NANCY S. LeMAY (nee Squadrito) age 101, beloved wife for 30 years of the late Joseph; loving mother of Frank (wife Diane), Joanne Schumacher (Carl, deceased), Virginia Davis, Bernice Stephen (husband Bill) and Bernard (wife Linda); devoted grandmother of 16 and great-grandmother of 20; cherished daughter of the late Frank and Rose (nee Gallo) Squadrito; dearest sister of the late John J. Squadrito M.D.; dear aunt and great-aunt of many.

Nancy was born November 13, 1916 in Troy, New York and passed away March 24, 2018. She was a resident for 45 years of Sarasota, Florida. She worked as a bookkeeper was a member of the Women’s Guild at St. Gregory and the secretary of Sun Haven Lake Association. Nancy was a member of an award-winning chorus of Sweet Adelines in Florida where she also designed costumes. She also enjoyed sewing, gardening and in her 80’s became an avid computer and e-mail user. Nancy was a world traveler who loved walking on the beach in Sarasota. She ruled the roost and always did things her way. Nancy will be remembered as a little lady with a big heart who was very smart, feisty and devoted to everyone. She will be dearly missed.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Nancy to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.

Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 7575 Bellflower Rd, Mentor, OH 44060 at 11 AM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Nancy at THE CHURCH WEDNESDAY 10-11 AM. Arrangements by THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS.
