Nancy Jane Miller

NANCY JANE MILLER (nee Spayde), aged 76 years, loving mother of Jane McNaughton of South Euclid, dear daughter of the late Bernard and Genevieve (nee McGinty) Spayde, sister of the late James Spayde, devoted friend to the late Connie McNaughton and many others.

Nancy Jane Spayde Miller was born to Bernard and Genevieve Spayde on August 7, 1943. Nancy and her mother shared the same birthday day. Nancy loved to share stories about her childhood, some happy, some traumatic. She always thought of her father as her protector.

Nancy was married to, and later divorced from, Richard Miller. They had one daughter, Jane. Nancy relinquished custody of Jane when Jane was eight years old. Her daughter was adopted by a remarkable nurse-midwife, Connie McNaughton. Connie cared not only for Jane, but for 10 years also cared for Nancy.

Nancy left Connie’s home and resided in Musicians Towers. She volunteered at MetroHealth Broadway and played bingo with friends at Musicians Towers. She attended Recovery International meetups, and attended and later joined Noble Road Presbyterian Church.

Death took Nancy by surprise. She fought ferociously and died valiantly on March 18, 2020. Nancy will be missed.

Nancy, may the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord shine His face upon you and give you His most precious blessing – peace.

Due to the corona virus quarantine presently in place, a private graveside service will be held. A Celebration of Nancy’s life will take place when it becomes possible. Please watch the funeral home website for details.

Arrangements entrusted to THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID.
