Nancy Bartsch

NANCY E. BARTSCH (nee Minard), age 77, beloved wife of the late Wilhelm “Alex;” loving mother of Christina Kalita (husband Mark) and William (wife Yemi); cherished daughter of the late Roswell and Harriet (nee Shepherd) Minard; dearest sister of the late Roswell “Spike” Minard;  dear aunt of Mark & Christi.

Nancy was born December 26, 1938 in Rochester, NY and passed away May 4, 2016. She graduated from East High School and attended the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY and graduated from John Carroll University.  Nancy was a medical transcriptionist for Meridia South Point.  She was also an assistant scoutmaster for the Boy Scouts of America from 1979 until 2006.  Nancy was an avid reader, loved old movies, camping, baking, crochet, needlepoint and working with stained glass.  She also enjoyed traveling and had traveled all of the Eastern half of the U.S., Germany, Iceland and Canada.  Nancy will be remembered as strong-willed, independent and loving, with a great sense of humor.

Celebration of Life Service MONDAY, May 9, 2016 at 7 PM at THE FUNERAL HOME. Cremation following by DeJohn Crematory.  Entombment Tuesday at Lake View Cemetery.  Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Nancy at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) MONDAY 4-7 PM.
