Nabil Khoury

NABIL B. KHOURY age 81 of Russell Township and Aitaneet, Lebanon. Beloved husband for 40 years of Mercedes (nee Rio); loving father of Carlos (wife Monica) and Michael; devoted grandfather of Charlie, Olive and Lola; dearest brother of Nadim (wife Liliane), Nora Geagea (husband Victor) and Nina Bouhasin (husband Johnny); dear uncle and great-uncle of many.

Nabil was born on February 8, 1937 in Wad-Madani, Sudan and passed away on July 20, 2018. He was a resident of Russell Township for 22 years, formerly of São Paulo, Brazil for 6 years and Mexico City, Mexico for 21 years. While living in Mexico City, Nabil met and married the love of his life of 40 years, Mercedes. He moved from Lebanon in 1957 to the United States of America to study at Western Reserve University. Nabil was an Economics and Accounting major at Western Reserve University and received his MBA at LSU. He was a CPA that traveled the whole world for work and pleasure. Nabil enjoyed playing cards with his childhood friends from Aitaneet and loved the town of Aitaneet, Lebanon where he spent his summers growing up. Nabil will be remembered most as a hard worker, simple, giving, generous and honest man with a gentle soul; a true and perfect gentleman. He was devoted to his family and faith. Nabil will be greatly missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to meet for the Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 10:30 AM at St. Maron Catholic Church, 1245 Carnegie Ave, Cleveland, OH 44115. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Nabil at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just east of Green Rd.) FRIDAY, August 3, 4-8 PM. Prayers of Incense Friday, August 3 at 7 PM.
