Miro Erdani

MIRO ERDANI age 86, beloved husband for 60 years of Ann (nee Stergar); loving father of Ann Coughlin (husband William), Mary McMurray (husband G. Raymond), and Mark (wife Karen); devoted grandfather of Kelly Wilmot (Scott), Eric (Traci) and David Coughlin (Jennifer), Niko and Bridget McMurray O.D., Joshua (Diane), Benjamin and Samuel Erdani; and great-grandfather of 12; cherished son of the late Martin and Antonija (nee Zagar); dearest brother of the late Milan Erdani and Mara Bernhauser; dear brother-in-law of Frank and Sonja Stergar, Mary Rees, Wally and Kathy Stergar and the late Millie and Frank Jeraj; treasured uncle, great-uncle and friend of many.

Miro was born in Slovenia on April 14, 1930, fled to Austria in 1945 to escape Communism and immigrated to the United States as a refugee in 1951. He resided in Cleveland until he moved to Euclid in 1964. Miro and his wife were married in St. Vitus Catholic Church in 1956. He was a member of Slovenska Pristava, and Slovenska Pristava Pensioners. Miro was a machinist and retired after many years with Caterpillar. He enjoyed playing Pinochle and stamp collecting. Miro was a fan of the Cleveland Indians, and Cavaliers but he truly loved baseball and his family. He could best be described as a hard worker, generous, loving, with a good sense of humor. Miro was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He had tremendous Faith in God and his family. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, August 18th, 2016 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church 15519 Holmes Ave, Cleveland, OH 44110 at 10 AM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Miro at THE ZEVNIK-COSIC FUNERAL HOME 28890 CHARDON RD. (BETWEEN BISHOP RD AND RT. 91) WILLOUGHBY HILLS WEDNESDAY 2-4 & 6-8 PM.
