MILDRED C. “MILLIE” ROMEO was in her 100th year, born July 18, 1915; beloved wife for 69 years of the late James S., loving mother of Annette Zaffiro (husband Carl), Patricia Palmer (husband Dennis) and Charlene Opalich (husband Nick); devoted grandmother of Thomas Zaffiro (wife Stacey), Carla Domozick (husband Dan), James Zaffiro (wife Lori), Dena Sanson (husband Michael), Anthony Zaffiro (wife Erica), Robert Palmer (wife Gina), Deborah Retino (husband Michael), Jamie Ovens (husband James), Brandon Opalich, Katie Rogoff (husband Nicholas) and great-grandmother of 24 1/2; cherished sister of Marge Wyszynski,
Mary Calabrese, Lillian Taylor and Jorita Trinetti; dear aunt and great-aunt of many.
Millie was a resident of Pepper Pike for 60 years and a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. She graduated from John Adams High School. Millie, along with her late husband James, was owner and operator of One Hour Martinizing, where she was a great seamstress. She enjoyed bowling, dancing, baking and cooking. Her favorite music was Big Band. She received the most enjoyment in life from her three daughters. Her family remembers her as wonderful, kind, giving and beautiful. She made everyone feel special.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 26, 2014 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church at 11:30 AM. Entombment following at Knollwood Mausoleum. The family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Millie at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just east of Green Rd.) on FRIDAY MORNING from 9:30 to 11:00 AM.
