Mildred Mack

MILDRED U. MACK (nee Zilich) age 96, beloved wife of the late Robert Joseph; loving mother of Diane Kane (husband Daniel), Robert J. (wife Nancy), and the late David A. (wife Kim deceased); devoted grandmother of Lindsey Schmitt (husband Michael), Dawn Chinchar (husband Matt), Laura Mack and Chrissy Ice (husband Bryan); treasured great-grandmother of Evie, Gabe, Libby, Theo, Aniston, Griffin and Emerson; cherished daughter of the late George and Mary (nee Skocik) Zilich; dearest sister of the late George and Danny; dear aunt and great-aunt of many.

Mildred was born on April 16, 1923 and died peacefully on January 14, 2020, surrounded by her family. She was a graduate of John Hay High School in Cleveland, and married her High school sweetheart, Robert. She later moved to Highland Heights with her family where she was a parishioner at St. Paschal Baylon Catholic Church. Mildred was a homemaker and got the most enjoyment out of her family. She was very competitive and loved playing cards, bowling and golfing. Mildred’s golfing career was especially important to her and she was skilled enough to have shot a hole-in-one on the 11^th hole at St. Denis Golf Course in Chardon. Mildred will be remembered for being outgoing, kind and loving and will be deeply missed by her close-knit family and her friends.

Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church at 10 AM. Private burial at Knollwood at a later date. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Mildred at THE CHURCH SATURDAY 9-10 AM. Arrangements by THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS.
