MILAN E. JELENIC age 91, beloved son of the late Peter and Anne (nee Brdar); preceded in death by 3 brothers and 9 sisters; dear uncle and great-uncle of many. U.S. Army Korean Conflict Veteran.

In lieu of flowers, Contributions may be made in memory of Milan to the Chardon Public Library.

Milan was born in Cleveland on August 3, 1928 and passed away on February 3, 2020. He lived in Chardon for 35 years, formerly of Euclid. He was a parishioner and usher at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Chardon.

After graduating high school in 1946, Milan served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked as an accountant at General Motors for over 30 years, and retired in 1983.

Milan enjoyed old movies and Broadway musicals and had quite the record collection. He traveled across the United States, Canada, and Europe. Milan was a real character with a great sense of humor, but he was also generous and giving. He was devoted to his family, and had a strong faith. Milan will be missed by all who knew him.

Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 11:30 AM at St. Mary Catholic Church 401 North St., Chardon, OH 44026. Burial following with Military Honors at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Milan at THE DeJOHN Funeral Home & Crematory of Chardon (formerly Ritondaro) 126 South St. (Rt. 44, south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 14, 2020 from 6-8 PM.
