Micheline Donovan

Micheline P. (Mickey)(Patti) Donovan died on October 13, 2008 after a two year battle with ALS. Mickey was a teacher by profession and by avocation, demonstrating to her three sons in a thousand ways the power of learning and of knowing. Mickey was a maker of homes that were warm, inviting and loving. She was a person of great generosity. Mickey was an athlete who joyfully played her beloved game of tennis until the day that ALS took it away from her. Mickey was a devoted friend and treasured the conversation and companionship of the special women that filled her life. Mickey was blessed with a large and caring family in Cleveland and beyond. She loved to go home. Mickey s friends and family lifted her up and showered her with acts of kindness during her struggles. It was Mickey s greatest joy to have spent her life arm-in-arm with Michael – her husband of 44 years and the person who she loved above all others. Mickey was a believer and was taken home by her Lord and Savior during the cool of an autumn evening. She died peacefully in her bed, in the arms of her family. Mickey is survived by her husband Michael, brothers Chuck (Penny) of Cleveland, OH and Tony (Celeste of Cleveland, OH, sons Todd (Ellen) of VA, Mark (Paola) of Bali, Indonesia and Kevin (Missy) of NJ and grandsons Lucas, Liam, Julian, Jack, Henry, Brian, Ben, Aidan and AJ.
