MICHAEL CHRISTOPHER JANKOWSKI age 38, beloved son of Richard Jankowski Sr. (Linda) and Leslie Skinner (nee Parker) (husband Ronald); cherished brother of Richard Jankowski Jr. (wife Kelly); dearest step-brother of Justin Clay, Andrea Clay (Alana), Devon Williams (wife Leah), Lynn McClaren (husband Walter) and Rachel Pringle; loving uncle of Hayleigh, Grace, Andrew, Carter, Kennedy, and Aidan; beloved nephew and Godson of Frank and Rosemary Jankowski, Edward and Joan Jankowski and Kathy Parker; and dear cousin and friend of many.
Michael was born September 23, 1982 and died suddenly August 23, 2021. He grew up in Mentor and resided in Painesville Township for the last 17 years. He graduated from Mentor High School in 2000 and went on to attend and graduate from Cleveland State with a degree in History. Michael worked as a manager for Aaron’s Furniture where he was liked and respected by all. He was an avid Brown’s fan. He was a history buff and enjoyed collecting war memorabilia. Michael loved to travel. One of his favorite places to visit was Alaska. Michael was brilliant and a deep thinker. He had many interests and liked learning about a wide variety of topics. He was free spirited and charismatic. Michael had a great sense of humor. He was very personable a lot of fun to be around. People truly enjoyed being in his presence. He will be dearly missed by all.
