MICHAEL KOSMETOS In Loving Memory, Age 93 passed away November 28, 2021.  Loving and Devoted husband to Vi (Bratel) for 70 years.  Father to G. Michael (Laura), Stephanie (Deceased) and Jeffrey.   Grandfather of Kristen (Luke). Brother to Christopher (Nancy)(Deceased). Honorary Family member Bob Case.  Mike lived a Full and Active life of Accomplishments and Service. Mike was Captain of the Swim Team at East Technical High School and a 1st Place State Freestyle Champion. He went on to Swim Competitively at Purdue University and received Honorable Mention as an All American Athlete.  He earned a BS in Electrical Engineering, followed by a Masters Degree from Case Institute of Technology in Engineering Administration. He would go on to work his entire career at First Energy as an Electrical Engineer.

A Proud Veteran, he served in the US Air Force for four years as a 1st Lieutenant Fighter Pilot Trainer, in the Air Training Command and Strategic Air Command.  For Twenty + years he served on Euclid City Council as Ward 4 Councilman, Councilman at Large, and 12 + years as Council President.  A member of the American Legion Post 343, and awarded citizen of the year in 1981.

It was his Passion for Swimming while working as a Lifeguard that he met the Love of his Life, his wife Vi, that would span 70 years of Marriage.  They would share his passion for Motorcycling where Vi road on the back of his bike for 17 Years travelling extensively.  An Avid Motorcyclist until the age of 90 when he decided “It was time to hang up his helmet”.  He had a special gathering to give away all of his gear, only willing to accept Money as a Donation to the Wounded Warriors Organization.  Mike was, and is, Greatly Admired, Respected and Loved and he will be Dearly Missed and Always Remembered.

Private Services and Burial for Family. Masks and Social Distancing are required.
