Michael Gaeta

MICHAEL J. GAETA age 80; beloved husband for 46 years of the late Josephine A. “Jo” (nee Sottosanti); cherished father of Mary Beth Beebe (husband Earl), Philip (wife Patricia), Cheryl Alsheimer (husband Frank), and Michael Jr. (wife Maureen); devoted grandfather of Christina, Michael, Mark and David Beebe, Nicholas Gaeta and Cara Melaragno, Alexis and Austin Alsheimer, and Madeline and Morgan Gaeta; loving son of the late Josephine (nee Bordonaro) and Philip Gaeta; dearest brother of the late Sandy Gaeta (wife Mary, deceased) and brother-in-law of Mary Kupiec (husband Ted); dear cousin, uncle and great-uncle of many.

Michael was a resident of Highland Heights for many years and also enjoyed spending winters with his wife in Florida.  He helped on several committees and was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Paschal Baylon. After graduating from Cleveland Heights High School, he worked as a zoning engineer for the City of Cleveland for 45 years. Some of Michael’s interests included golfing and listening to the music of Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and other members of the Rat Pack.  He was an avid fan of the Indians, Browns, and Cavs. Nothing gave Michael as much pleasure as his family and celebrating the holidays with them.  He will be remembered as a kind and gentle soul.

Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Mike at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) MONDAY 4-8 PM.
