Michael Barkoot

MICHAEL G. BARKOOT, JR., aged 69 years, beloved son of Michael G., Sr. and the late Ruth (nee Slusser), dear brother of John (wife Linda), beloved friend to Janice Giles, loving uncle of Matthew and David (wife Michelle) Barkoot, great-uncle to Maggie and Sofiah.

Michael was employed at Filter Dynamics, J.C. Penney’s and C.W.R.U. Michael was a member of the deaf community and a member of the Cleveland Heights Arts Community. He was a poet who often performed at Coventry Library, Mac’s Backs Books and Coffee Phix Café.

Contributions in memory of Michael suggested to Noble Rd. Presbyterian Church, 2780 Noble Rd., Cleveland Heights, OH 44121; or to Cleveland Hearing and Speech Center, 11635 Euclid Ave., Cleveland, OH 44106.

Funeral services Thursday, March 24, 2016 at the funeral home at 11 AM. Burial following in Lake View Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute and celebrate the life of Michael at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just East of Green Rd.) WEDNESDAY 2-4 AND 6-8 PM.
