Michael A. Retino, Jr.

MICHAEL A. RETINO, JR. age 93, beloved husband for 70 years of the late Violet (nee Vaccariello); loving father of John (wife Angela) and the late Michael, III (wife Caroline); devoted grandfather of Elizabeth; cherished son of the late Michael A. Sr, and Marguerite (nee Beaujolais); dearest brother of the late Louis; dear uncle and great-uncle of many. U.S. Army Korean Conflict Veteran.

Mike was born on March 15, 1930 and passed away on March 21, 2023. He grew up in Little Italy and lived in Mayfield Heights and South Euclid for 64 years. Mike was a member of the ISDA, Alhambra Carmona Caravan, and Little Italy Retirees. Mike attended East Tech High School and graduated in 1948 and later attended Fenn College. He then started his own business and became the Owner/Operator of Retino Tile and Carpet.

His hobbies included golf, traveling, drag racing, playing cards and snowmobiling and his favorite music artist were Sinatra and the Rat Pack. Mike was always smiling, positive, pleasant, friendly and a hard worker. He also loved to tell jokes, had a wonderful sense of humor, and never knew a stranger. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Relatives and friends are requested to meet for the Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at 10AM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church 6850 Mayfield Road, Gates Mills, Ohio 44040. Burial following with Military Honors at Knollwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Mike at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just east of Green Rd.) MONDAY 4-8 PM.
