Mercurio J. “Mick” Cianciolo

MERCURIO J. “MICK” CIANCIOLO age 86, beloved husband of the late Carol (nee Vitkovits); loving father of Rosina “Rose” Cianciolo and Margaret “Margie” DePaul (husband Richard, Jr., D.D.S.); devoted grandfather of Scott Sangston, Jr. (fiancée Bridget Grau) and Shannon Sangston (Matthew Flanagan); cherished son of the late Mariano and Rosemary (nee Demma). U.S. Army Veteran.

Mick grew up in Shaker Heights and graduated from Shaker Heights High School in 1954. Later he lived in South Euclid, Mayfield Village and finally settled in Highland Heights in 1980. Mick enjoyed working with his father as a teenager at the family produce stand at the West Side Market. His love for fixing and rebuilding cars lead him to start his own auto repair and service shop, and was an avid baseball fan. Mick loved Westerns, especially The Lone Ranger. Many would describe him as a hardworking, honest, and dedicated man who was also friendly, caring and selfless. Mostly they loved his Sicilian sense of humor. Mick will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Mercurio to Hospice of the Western Reserve.
