MERCEDES “JEAN” LAUFFER (nee Daniels) age 86, beloved wife for 54 years of the late Richard P. ; loving mother of Daniel “Danny”; devoted grandmother of Scott P. Lauffer and great-grandmother of Lila; cherished daughter of the late Ralph and Doris (nee McMahon) Daniels; dearest sister of the late John A. Daniels; treasured friend of Diane Collins; dear aunt and great-aunt of many. Mercedes “Jean” Lauffer was born January 22, 1934 and passed away peacefully March 22, 2020. She was a resident of Breckenridge Village in Willoughby, OH for the past 5 years and prior to that Mayfield Hts since 1969 and East Cleveland. Jean was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and Christ the King Church. She worked in the food service industry. Jean was an avid reader of history, loved China, traveling the USA and watching Cleveland sports. She will be remembered as bright, kind, social, strong willed and street wise. Jean will be dearly missed.

Cremation by DeJohn Crematory. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at a later date at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Willoughby. Arrangements by THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID.
