Melissa Talty

MELISSA ANN TALTY (nee Rychlik), 42

Born in Cleveland, Ohio on September 28, 1975, and peacefully passed away July on 10, 2018.

She was the beloved wife for 18 years of Thomas P., III; loving mother of Christopher and Lynda; cherished daughter of Gerald (wife Sandra) and the late Linda (nee Strancar) Rychlik; dearest sister of Jeannette Wennerstrom (husband Timothy), Adrienne McClellan (husband Ian), Elizabeth and James Booth; treasured aunt of Bryce (deceased), Ashley, Layna, Hanna, Elizabeth and Daniel; cherished daughter-in-law of Thomas P. Talty, Jr. (wife Rita) and Eva Hirsch (husband Dr. Howard); dearest sister-in-law of Kathryn Talty and Robert Venorsky, Meg and Thomas Gallagher; dear niece, cousin and friend of many.

Melissa grew up in Euclid, Ohio, where she graduated Class of 1993, from Euclid High School. Melissa went on to study at Cleveland State University, where she received Bachelors of Business Administration, HR. She proudly worked for Ernst and Young as a People Consultant, in the Human Resources Department, for 11 years.

Melissa was a resident of Waite Hill, Ohio since 1999 – she enjoyed a beautiful life and home shared by her loving and forever devoted husband, Thomas P., III, and their two beautiful children, Christopher, and Lynda.

Melissa was an active member of her community, always selflessly extending her compassionate nature to those around her.

She greatly enjoyed traveling, running, baking & cooking in her free time. Above all, Melissa found the most enjoyment in life when she was surrounded by her loving family.

Caring, supportive, happy, optimistic, beautiful, faithful and loyal, are only a handful of wonderful ways to describe Melissa and how she’ll be remembered. She was hardworking and a fighter with strong faith.

She expressed everlasting love and devotion as a mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend. She loved life every day, and lived life body, mind & spirit.

Melissa was a truly beautiful individual, who will be dearly missed by all.

Relatives and friends are invited to meet for the Mass of Christian Burial Monday, July 16, 2018 at 10 AM at Divine Word Catholic Church 8100 Eagle Rd., Kirtland, OH 44094. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Melissa at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.)  SUNDAY 1-6 PM.
