MEGHAN P. DILLEN, aged 37 years, beloved mother of Zoe VeVerka, cherished daughter of Anita Henry (James) and David C. Dillen (Nanci), treasured sister of Scott Dillen (Kathryn), fond aunt to Paige and Chase, extended family of Laura Rasor (Mike), Rick Smith (Kristen) and nieces and nephews; survived by Eric VeVerka (father of Zoe), fond niece, cousin and friend.
Meghan was born in Elyria, Ohio, July 18th, 1980. She then moved to Shaker Heights at a young age where she grew up and graduated from Shaker Heights High School in 1998. In her adult life, she worked as an escrow agent and as a server. For the past several years, Meg lived in Cleveland with her daughter Zoe, and Zoe’s father, Eric VeVerka.
Meg had many passions and could excel at anything she put her mind to. She had a natural ability for horseback riding and swimming. Among other hobbies, she enjoyed nature and the serene, tranquil way it made her feel. Being in nature and spending time with her daughter Zoe meant the world to her. Meg would often watch movies and draw pictures with Zoe in her free time.
Along with Zoe, Meg adored animals and Boomer, a beagle-shepherd mix which was her most trusted dog. Meg loved coming home for the holidays, especially Christmas, her most beloved time of the year. She absolutely loved attending mass with her mother and daughter Zoe on Christmas Eve. She also adored traveling with her father and brother around the country including unforgettable trips to San Francisco, Florida, Hawaii, and the Bahamas.
Meg had a sweet disposition and a big heart. She was able to easily connect with children and animals. She always had a smile and soft-spoken words for those she came in contact with.
Meg will be greatly missed by all who love her. We pray she is at peace.
