MAXIMILLIAN PAUL LAMMERS, age 81 years, survived by his dear and beloved Maggie, beloved husband of the late Gretchen (nee Romweber), dear father of Paul (wife Gayle), Tony (wife Peggy), Perry, Suzanne Witt (husband Roger) and Alexandra Hoyle (husband Eric), loving grandfather of Jay, Anne Jordan, Presley and Polina Lammers and Samantha Witt, fond brother of Roger and the late Larry, cherished uncle and great-uncle. Mr. Lammers was a graduate of St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati and Xavier University. He was a member of the Rowfant Club, Chagrin Valley Trails and Riding Club and the Pine Lake Trout Club. Max was a member of Rotary and an avid member of Toastmasters. During his life, Max donated over 36 gallons of blood and was inducted into the American Red Cross Donor Hall of Fame. Max was an avid horseman and was famous for his IDEAS!!.

Contributions suggested to The Gretchen Romweber Lammers Foundation of Margaret Mary Community Hospital, 321 Mitchell Ave., Batesville, IN. 47006; or to The Therapeutic Riding Center, 16497 Snyder Rd., Chagrin Falls, OH. 44023.

Relatives and friends are requested to meet for the Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 6850 Mayfield Rd., Gates Mills, at 11:30 AM. Cremation by DeJohn Crematory. Burial in the Lammers Family Burial Grounds, Clarksville, Georgia.

The family will receive friends to pay tribute and celebrate the life of Max at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just East of Green Rd.) on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 from 4-8 PM.
