Matthew W. Evanetich

MATTHEW W. EVANETICH age 72, cherished son of the late Matt and Ann (nee Hribernik); dearest brother of Sharon DeWerth (husband Alan) and Donald; dear uncle and great-uncle of many.

Matthew was born December 11, 1946 in Cleveland and passed away December 15, 2018 in Canton.  He was a graduate of Willoughby South High School.  Matthew served in the Army during the Vietnam war.  He worked at Republic Steel in sales.  Matthew enjoyed playing golf, bowling and playing black jack.  He enjoyed spending time with his family at the occasional family barbecue’s.  Matthew was always thinking of others, caring, loving, witty and an all-around great guy.  He will be dearly missed.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in memory of Matthew to the charity of your choice. Cremation by DeJohn Crematory.  Mass of Christian Burial Monday, January 7, 2019 at 11 AM at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, 140 Richmond Road, Cleveland, Ohio 44143. Burial following with Military Honors at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Matthew at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) SUNDAY, JANUARY 6, 2019 2-4 PM.
