MATTHEW J. DeLUCA, “Uncle Matt” age 79; beloved husband for 59 years of Marlene (nee Raymond); loving father of Suzanne DeLuca (husband Mike McCostlin) and Diane Helt (husband Mike); devoted Papa of Rachel Polensek, Matthew and Michael Helt, Dan and Julie McCostlin; cherished son of the late Leonard and Jean (nee Tarabosso); dearest brother of Mena Dolciato (husband Chick) and the late Loretta Rizzo (husband John, deceased); dear brother-in-law of Warren and Anne Raymond; treasured uncle of 9, great-uncle of 11 and friend to many.

Matt was a U.S. Army veteran and retired secretary/treasurer of Laborers Union Local #860. A resident of Willoughby and formerly of Euclid and Russell, Matt passed away July 22, 2013, in Willoughby. He was born Sept. 10, 1933, in Cleveland. He loved hunting and fishing, gardening, traveling, golf and playing all sports. His family considered him to be good looking, loving and
generous, a giving man who loved to give out his homemade sausage and hot peppers.

Celebration of Life Service will be Monday, July 29, 2013 at 11 AM, at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91). Entombment with military honors following at All Souls Mausoleum. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Matt at the FUNERAL HOME SUNDAY 2-7 PM.
