Mary Rybacki

MARY M. RYBACKI (nee VanWynsberghe) age 95, beloved wife of the late Joseph; loving mother of Mary Simoncic (husband Carl); devoted grandmother of Robert Simoncic (Kelly Ross) and Katherine Simoncic and great-grandmother of Olive; cherished daughter of the late John and Valentina VanWynsberghe; dearest sister of the late Margaret Hunt (husband Wendell, deceased), Emma Rosinski (husband Chester, deceased) and George VanWynsberghe (wife Barbara, deceased); dear aunt and great-aunt of many.

Mary was born April 18, 1921 in Omaha, Nebraska and passed away on March 8, 2017 in Concord, Ohio where she has lived for the past 11 years.  She previously resided in Mayfield Heights, moving there in 1971.  Mary was most recently a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church, where she was involved in the Mission Circle.  When she lived in Mayfield Heights, she was a member of St. Clare Catholic Church and participated in the Legion of Mary there.  Mary was also involved in the Seniors Group in Concord.  She enjoyed playing cards, especially Pinochle, but got the most enjoyment from spending time with her family and church family.  Mary was faithful, family-oriented, organized, kind, giving and very social.  She will be greatly missed.

Family suggests contributions may be made in memory of Mary to St. Gabriel Mission Circle, 9925 Johnnycake Ridge Rd., Mentor, OH  44060 or Sisters of Notre Dame, 3820 Chicago St., Omaha, NE  68131.  Mass of Christian Burial Monday, March 13, 2017 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church at 10 AM. Burial following at All Saints Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Mary at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) SUNDAY 2-6 PM and AT THE CHURCH MONDAY 9 – 10 AM.
