Mary Pozelnik

MARY POZELNIK (nee Leskovec), age 93, beloved wife of the late Edward F.; loving mother of Andrew (wife Carol), Denise Schaefer (husband Michael) and Janet Rogers (husband Jerry, deceased) (Mike); devoted grandmother of Brian (fiancé Stephanie), Allison and Kelly Schaefer and Sean (wife Krista), Phillip (fiancé Olivia) and Matthew (fiancé Cynthia) Rogers; dearest sister of the late Matilda Bolek, Adolph Leskovec and Sr Anna Leskovec of the Poor Clares; dear aunt of Tillie Boyd and many other nieces and nephews.

Mary was born on September 4, 1922 and passed away on May 11, 2016. She was a 20 year resident of Medina previously residing in Euclid. Mary was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church Holmes Ave. and St. Paul Catholic Church in Euclid. She was a member of KSKJ lodge, and AMLA lodge. Mary was owner/operator of Waterloo Recreation, and retired from Eaton Guest House. She was proud to be able to meet and shake the hand of Prince Charles when he stayed at the Eaton Guest House. She liked to play cards and enjoyed bowling, roller-skating, and dancing.  Mary remained active most of her life. She was a hardworking and outgoing person with a sense of humor. Mary was faithful and religious and loved her family. She will be dearly missed.

Contributions may be made in Mary and Sr Anna’s  memory to Poor Clares of Perpetual Adoration, Sancta Clara Monastery 4200 Market Ave N, Canton, OH 44714 or to St Mary Church Holmes Ave.  Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at St. Mary Catholic Church 15519 Holmes Avenue, Cleveland, OH  44110 at 10 AM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Mary at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) MONDAY 4-8 PM.
