MARINKA "MARY" OVSENIK age 90, beloved daughter of the late Janez and Ivanka (nee Kokalj) Ovsenik; dearest sister of Mario (wife Justine), Cvetka Gabric (husband Joze deceased), Tony (wife Bernadette), Ivanka Vidmar deceased (husband Stanko deceased), Nace deceased (wife Slavka), Janez deceased (wife Urska deceased), Joze deceased (wife Marija), and Nezka Vidmar deceased (husband Frank); dear aunt and great-aunt to many.

Mary was born on May 29, 1933 in Predoslje, Slovenia and immigrated to the United States in 1960. She was a dedicated and long-time employee of Richmond Bros. and TRV. In addition, Marinka could be found serving for local Slovenian caterers on numerous weekends.

Marinka's Catholic faith was a very important part of her life and while residing at the St. Vitus Village, she tended to the needs of the Chapel altar with great care. She was also a member of the St. Vitus Altar and Rosary Society and KSKJ.

She will be fondly remembered for her love of children, her willingness to serve and to always make sure things were done right. Her numerous nieces and nephews both in the US and in Slovenia will always remember her kindness and thoughtfulness remembering important events in their lives.

Marinka passed away on April 3, 2024 and will be dearly missed by those who knew her.

Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday, April 10, 2024, at St. Vitus Catholic Church, 6019 Lausche Avenue, Cleveland at 10 AM. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Mary WEDNESDAY MORNING 9-10 AT THE CHURCH. Arrangements were entrusted to THE ZEVNIK-COSIC FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS.
