Mary “Molly” Somrack

MARY “MOLLY” MADELINE SOMRACK (nee Dooner) age 95, beloved wife for 70 years of Frank; loving mother of F. Daniel and David J. (wife Annia) Somrack, Lisa August (husband Thomas), and the late  Roseanne Lehman; devoted grandmother of Kristin (husband Vince), Thomas, Max, Isabel, Adriana, Darius, and Daniel and great-grandmother of Dylan, Gavin, Logan, and Molly; cherished daughter of the late Edward and Alice (nee Murphy) Dooner; dearest sister of James Dooner (Virginia deceased), and the late Peggy Hoban (Michael deceased), Evelyn McNulty (Patrick deceased), Edward Dooner (Dorothy deceased), Alice Griffin (William deceased), Thomas (Ruth deceased) Dooner, and Jane Dooner; dear aunt and great-aunt of many.

Molly was born on July 25, 1922 in Pittston, Pennsylvania and passed away on April 24, 2018, and had been a resident of Euclid for 76 years. Molly graduated from Hughstown High School Class of 1940, and continued her education at Dyke College, where she received her Secretarial Certification. Molly worked at both Cleveland Twist Drill Co. and Graphite Bronze Inc. for more than 10 years each. She loved playing the piano and accordion, as well as listening to music, especially polkas, Frank Sinatra, and Hank Williams. Molly was an exceptional cook and really loved Thanksgiving and Christmas, as it was a time for her to show off her cooking skills and spend time with her family. She will be remembered for her firm but fair demeanor, and amazing sense of humor. Molly will be dearly missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to meet for a Mass of Christian Burial Monday, April 30, 2018 at 11 AM at St. John of the Cross Catholic Church, 140 Richmond Rd., Euclid, OH 44143. Private burial at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville, Ohio. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Molly at ZEVNIK-COSIC FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) SUNDAY 2-5 PM.
