MARY E. LITZ (nee Millik), passed away suddenly on May 21, 2016 at the age of 95. Mary was born on September 12, 1920 to the late John and Margaret (nee Panyik) Millik. Dearly beloved wife for 61 years to the late William E. Litz and devoted mother to the late Robert “Bobby” Litz, dearest sister of Steve (Faye) Millik and the late John Millik, loved by her niece, god-daughter/caregiver Ellen Millik-Jones and nephew/caregiver John Millik, treasured aunt, God-mother, great aunt and great-great aunt. Remembered by all her nieces and nephews of the Litz and Millik families, whom she loved dearly. Adored “Mimi” to Logan, Anastasios, Sofia and Liam. She leaves behind her cherished Avondale Neighborhood family. Mary was a devout Catholic and had a motherly love that she shared with the world. She was a blessing to many and a friend to all. She will be forever loved and greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, contributions suggested to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44110.
Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, May 28, 2016, at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church of Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish at 9:30 AM. (Prayers Saturday at the funeral home begin at 8:50 AM.) Committal service Saturday, at St. Mary Cemetery (Warren) at 2:15 PM. Family will receive friends to pay tribute and celebrate the life of Mary at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just East of Green Rd.) FRIDAY 3-5 AND 6-8 PM.
