Mary Jo Bandi

MARY JO BANDI (nee Lautizar), aged 89 years, died on Wednesday, January 16 at her residence. Beloved wife for 55 years to the late John M., dearest mother of John T. (wife Susan), Gregory (wife Anne), Thomas and Pam Czeck (Rick Zenz), loving grandmother of Alyson Bandi, Jessica Czeck and John Christopher Bandi, cherished sister of Helene Glavan, Louis Lautizar and the late Hermine Babic.

Mrs. Bandi was born on April 29, 1923 in Cleveland. She was a 56 year resident of Willoughby Hills, previously residing in Cleveland. She worked as a registered nurse at St. Vincent Charity Hospital, where she also served as nursing instructor. Following the birth of her children, she worked as an R.N. at Sunny Acres Hospital, retiring in 1983 as Associate Director of Nursing. She enjoyed cooking, baking, traveling and taking care of her husband. She enjoyed holidays and all get-togethers with her family. She was a founding member of St. Noel Parish, and served on the Stephen’s Ministry at the church.

In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Catholic Charities, 7911 Detroit Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44102, or to the Alzheimer’s Association, 23215 Commerce Park Dr., Suite 300, Beachwood, Ohio 44122. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, Jan. 21, 2013 at St. Noel Catholic Church at 10:00 AM. Interment All Souls Cemetery. The family will receive friends to pay tribute and celebrate the life of Mary Jo at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON RD. (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) on SUNDAY from 2:00 to 5:00 PM.
