MARY R. “BABE” JIANNETTI (nee SAVOCA) age 96, beloved wife for 63 years of the late Frank “Hank”; loving mother of Frank (wife Barbara) and Michael (wife Cathy); devoted grandmother of Joseph, Jeanine Rivas (husband Anthony), Anthony (wife Alicia), Jennifer Lyons (husband Christopher) and great-grandmother “Baby Grandma” of Cali and Easton, and “ GG” of Henry, Vincent, Olivia and Nicolo; cherished daughter of the late Maria Concetta (nee Leanza) and Gaetano Savoca; dearest sister of the late Domenica “Minnie” Oddo (husband Thomas deceased) and Anthony Savoca; dear sister-in-law of Bernard and Theresa Giannetti, Rose Danko, Carmella and the late Victor Iacianci and the late Stella and William Hazen and Contalia and Ray Klinko; treasured aunt of Mary Ann “Boots” Montani (husband Raymond) and many other nieces and nephews.
On December 12, 2023, Babe passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family leaving her family missing her endlessly. Babe was born on November 16, 1927 and resided in Mayfield Heights since 1959. She graduated from John Hay High School in 1945 and served as an accounting clerk for the Board of Elections and the Ohio Lottery. Growing up, she proudly worked at her family’s grocery store, Savoca Food Mart, located at 61st and Woodland. Babe’s hobbies included bocce ball, dancing, cooking, and cheering on the Cleveland Indians/Guardians and the Tampa Bay Rays. The Italian Rat Pack was her favorite music. Traveling to Naples Florida and throughout Europe, specifically Italy, brought her great enjoyment. Her family describes Babe as strong willed, feisty, sociable, strongly opinionated with a great sense of humor, and a party lover who never turned down a party invitation.

Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Babe at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) TUESDAY 2-4 AND 5-8 PM.
