Mary Jean Manfroni

MARY JEAN MANFRONI (nee Cicchella) age 87, beloved wife for 67 years of the late Fred; loving mother of Patricia Russ (deceased), Butch (wife Marcia), Christopher (wife Cindy) and mother-in-law of Chris Russ (wife Dianne); devoted grandmother of Brian Russ, Jessica, Nathan, Taylor, Zachery, Alexandra (fiancé Michael Muzic), and Joshua Manfroni; cherished daughter of the late Jean (nee Mower) and Charles Cicchella; dearest sister of Charles (wife Geri) Cicchella, Rosalie Cicchella, Michael (wife Ardis) Cicchella, and the late Teresa Benton; dear sister-in-law, aunt, and great-aunt of many.

Mary Jean was born December 21, 1935 and passed away surrounded by her loving family February 17, 2023.  She lived in Mayfield Heights since 1954 and was a graduate of the class of 1953 from Brush High School. Mary Jean worked for the Mayfield City Schools district as a dietician.  Her most enjoyment was spending as much time as she could with her grandkids. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, listening to Italian hits and watching the Cleveland Guardians/Indians. When she was able, she loved to travel the USA and through Europe. Her most favorite holiday was Christmas and spending time with family and friends. Many would describe her as social, friendly, giving and very generous with her time, yet she was very strong-willed.  Mary Jean will always be remembered as a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.

Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 11 AM at St. Noel Catholic Church, 35200 Chardon Rd., Willoughby Hills. Burial following at All Souls Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Mary at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) MONDAY 4-8 PM.
