Mary Elizabeth Moses (Akins)

Funeral services for Mary Elizabeth (Akins) Moses, 86, of Kirtland, will be held on Friday, June 21, 2013 at 10:30 AM at Calvary Assembly of God, 28870 Chardon Rd., Willoughby Hills. Mrs. Moses died Monday, June 17, 2013 at Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights.
She was born on September 17, 1926 in Covington, Kentucky. She resided for over 52 years in Kirtland, previously residing in Cleveland. She worked at General Electric (Nela Park division), enjoyed gardening, was an avid reader, enjoyed family get-togethers, and belonged to several charitable organizations.
She is survived by her daughter Yvonne, a brother Robert Akins, a sister Jennie Hinkle, and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Berry Crowley “B.C.” Moses, who passed away last December 20th, her parents Virgil and Mattie (Witt) Akins, and a brother Fred Akins.
The family will receive friends to pay tribute and celebrate the life of Mary Elizabeth on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at The DeJohn-Flynn-Mylott Funeral Home of Willoughby Hills, 28890 Chardon Rd. (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91). Pastor David Welle will officiate. Burial will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens.
