Mary Elizabeth Hard

MARY ELIZABETH HARD (nee Manfroni) age 82, beloved wife of 43 years of Roger; loving mother of John “Butch” Petti, Michael (Pattie) Petti, Joanne Matousek, Ron Hard (Grace, deceased) and Robert Hard (Maria); devoted grandmother of Katie, Julia, Nick (Maryann), Danielle, Joe, Alicia, Emma and Frank; cherished daughter of the late Nicholas and Josephine (nee Evangelisti) Manfroni; dearest sister of the late Dominick Manfroni and Evelyn Lapinta; Best friend of over 60 years of Helene Grande; former devoted son-in-law Ed Matousek; dear aunt and great-aunt of many.

Mary was born on March 14, 1941, in Sykesville, PA. She attended Charles F. Brush High School and worked as a dental receptionist. Mary loved reading books and having sleepovers with her grandchildren. She enjoyed having fun entertaining, cooking and baking, flowers, traveling and going to garage sales. She always liked having “happy hour”. Mary was very sociable as she was called the “director” of entertainment, and her house was the party house, especially the pool. Many would describe her as a one-of-a-kind person, who was the rock of the family with a fantastic sense of humor and was always worried about everyone’s enjoyment as she was a prankster her entire life. Sadly, Mary passed away on November 3, 2023. She will be greatly missed by everyone who had the pleasure of knowing and loving her.
