MARY PAT PEKLAR (née Deveney) age 68, beloved wife of Konrad for 43 years; loving mother of Amelia, Maureen (Max) Crow, and Kevin; devoted grandmother of Caroline and Carson; cherished daughter of Vincent and the late Joan (née Byrne) Deveney; dearest sister of Laureen Deveney, Joanie Deveney, Brigid Deveney, and the late Kathie Biliani, and Chuck Deveney; dear sister-in-law, cousin, aunt, and great-aunt of many.
Mary Pat was born on November 1, 1956, in Cleveland, Ohio. After graduating from Euclid High School, she continued her education at Cleveland State University, where she earned both her undergrad and Master of Business Administration degrees. She began her working career at Cleveland Electric Illumination Co. as a budget analyst where she met and married her husband. She worked at CEI for ten years and then decided to devote her considerable energy to raising her three children. The following years consisted of countless baseball, ice skating, swimming, hockey, football, basketball and volleyball activities. She was passionate about her children's education and encouraged them with her own love of the arts. She loved old movies and could recall the smallest detail of some obscure film from the 1930's. She enjoyed being a member of the Irish American Club, participating at the Mentor Senior Center prior to the Pandemic, and going on her daily walks. She also enjoyed finding the best deals and having a sweet treat on hand for loved ones. Mary Pat was supportive of her family and friends and was always there in time of need. She loved her family and watching her grandchildren. On November 25, 2024, Mary Pat passed away leaving her family and friends missing her passionate and fiery ways, but most importantly her unique sense of humor and big heart.
