MARY ANN CHULICK (nee Gilbert), age 64, passed away August 18, 2020, 100th Anniversary of the 19th Amendment. Beloved wife of Sam Robert Stevens and the late Joseph Walter Chulick, cherished daughter of Jane (nee Gattozzi) and Donald Gilbert (both deceased), dear sister of John (Carol) and Ralph (Carol) Gilbert, loving aunt of Ian (Rebekah), Keith (Jamie) and Neil Gilbert and their children, lifelong friend of Laurel Freeder and loving friend to many who brought much joy. Devoted pet owner to cats and dogs.
Mary Ann graduated Summa Cum Laude from Denison University (’77) and got her MS in library science from Kent State (’79). She was employed at Thomson Reuters (Banks Baldwin) Law Publishing for 40 years. Mary Ann wrote for American Society for Indexing and gave presentations at ASI conferences throughout her career. She belonged to a writer’s group. In her spare time, she was the published author of over a dozen novels in many genres. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Mary Ann to Woman’s Health & Rights, Joe Biden’s Campaign or any non-kill animal shelter.
Memorial Service at Acacia Country Club, 26899 Cedar Rd., Beachwood, on Sunday, Sept. 20 at 1 PM followed by reception. Arrangements entrusted to THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID.
