Martin Draksic

Mass of Christian Burial for Martin Draksic, 74 of Kirtland will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Divine Word Church 8100 Eagle Rd., Kirtland.

Mr. Draksic passed away Sunday June 22, 2014 at his residence.

He was born October 29, 1939 in Brezova Gora, Croatia, he had been a resident of Kirtland for 26 years.

Mr. Draksic was a machinist for Rimeco Products formerly Ribic Tool Co. in Willoughby. He was an avid gardener and winemaker and loved to share his vegetables and wine with his friends.

He is survived by his wife Verica “Vera” (Kalac); daughters Anita (Edgar) Saenz and Irena (Chris) Burt; grandson Evan Saenz; siblings Ciril of Austria, Metod of Croatia and Elizabeta Koren of Slovenia; many nieces, nephews and cousins in Europe and the USA. He was preceded in death by his parents Antun and Marija (Teskac) and brother Jernej.

Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Zevnik-Cosic Funeral Home 28890 Chardon Rd., Willoughby Hills.

Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
