Martha M. Medla

MARTHA M. MEDLA (nee Mintz), aged 96 years, beloved wife of the late John E., dearest mother of Loraine Gleine (Eric), Lise Herbison (Tim), Richard (Sharon) and Wendy, loving grandmother of Brian Gleine (Kelly), Scott Gleine, Jennifer Snider (Joel), Christopher Herbison, Serena Funk (Bill), Monica Dieter (Scott) and Mathew Medla, great-grandmother of Benjamin, Maclaryn, Gavin, Jasper, Halle and Emerson, cherished daughter of the late Michael and Ernestine (nee Frede) Mintz, devoted sister of the late William Mintz, Elsie Kristofsky, Emma, Edward and Albert Mintz.

Martha was born on March 24, 1922 in Colebrook, Ohio and passed away May 11, 2018 at Anna Maria of Aurora. She was a resident of Lyndhurst for 68 years and was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. Martha worked for the Lyndhurst City Hall Finance Department and enjoyed traveling, gardening and building with Lego’s. Martha was such an avid Lego builder. Her family lovingly referred to her as a “frustrated architect”.

Her grandkids and great-grandkids gave her the most enjoyment in life. One of her favorite function was hosting holiday dinners. She will be dearly missed.

Funeral services Monday, May 14, 2018, at the funeral home at 7:30 PM. Private burial in St. John Lutheran Cemetery, South Euclid. Family will receive friends to pay tribute and celebrate the life of Martha at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just East of Green Rd.) MONDAY 4 PM UNTIL TIME OF SERVICE.
