MARLIES “MUTTI” GADZALLA age 78, loving mother of Jack Schafrick (wife Judy), Heidimarie Schultz (husband Dieter), Richard Schafrick (wife Debi) and Angela “Ann” Corwin (husband David); devoted grandmother of Eric and Jenna Schafrick, Christine Schultz-Molley, Steven Schultz, Zachary, Alexis and Jacob Schafrick, Cameron, Taylor, Lauren and David Corwin and great-grandmother of Victoria and Alexander Molley; cherished daughter of the late Heinrich and Alma (nee Bunge) Gadzalla; dearest sister of the late Erika Eitel; dear aunt and great aunt of many.
Marlies was born on April 4, 1938 in Bohlsen, Krs. Uelzen, Germany and passed away on December 5, 2016. She was a resident of Chardon for 10 years, formerly of Lyndhurst. Mutti was a caregiver and manicurist. She loved painting, drawing, art, and gardening. Mutti loved the beach, sun and water. She will be remembered most as a positive, caring, strong-willed and very determined woman. Mutti was always glowing and was fond of saying “It will be alright.” She will be dearly missed.

Prayers of Christian Burial Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 11 AM at THE FUNERAL HOME. Cremation following by DeJohn Crematory. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Mutti at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) FRIDAY 4-7 PM.
