Marlene Weisenberg

MARLENE WEISENBERG (nee Klemencic) age 75, loving mother of Dawn Dawson (husband Robert), Gary Langlois, Mark Langlois (Tracey Rock), and Jill Evangelista (Craig Cornell); devoted grandmother of Sofia Langlois, Derek Dawson (Alyson Zurawick), Denise, and Rodney Dawson and great-grandmother of Gracie Rose, Evan, and Silas Dawson, and Dawson and Michayla Connor; cherished daughter of the late Edward and Mary Klemencic; dearest older twin sister of Marilyn Banko, and the late Edward Klemencic; dear aunt and great-aunt of many; survived by Jerry Weisenberg.

Marlene Weisenberg from Perry Township has gone to be with her Lord and Savior. She passed unexpectedly on July 14, 2021, from complications of the heart while at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland. She was born July 10, 1946 in Cleveland and lived in Mentor and Perry for the past 50 years. Family and friends recently gathered in Perry to celebrate the occasion of her 75th birthday.

Marlene was a 1964 graduate of Collinwood High School, and went on to work for 24 years at the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus, retiring in 2016. She loved life and lived for her family and friends. She was an avid reader and loved tackling a good book on the back deck while she kept a keen eye on Kitty Roo and her favorite family of racoons. She enjoyed the TV where she was a big fan of classic movies, house flipping shows, and the Hallmark Channel. She loved music and was a regular at the area’s summer concert events and she tried hard not to miss an Indian’s broadcast.  She was a lover of the moon and stars, and would notify the family of all up-coming events.  Marlene enjoyed gatherings with her Collinwood classmates and especially coveted birthdays, holidays, and other occasions with her family.

Marlene was known to be loving, caring and kind by all who knew her.  While sometimes stubborn, she also loved to have fun and joke around, and was often the life of the party.  She will be dearly missed.

Mass of Christian Burial Monday, July 19th, 2021 at St. Bede The Venerable Catholic Church, 9114 Lakeshore Blvd., Mentor, OH 44060 at 1 PM.
