MARK A. TAVERNELLI, aged 59 years, beloved husband for 36 years to Kathy (nee Parr), dear father of Larry, Matt (wife Nicole) and Joanne (fiance’ Mike Brant), devoted son of Joseph and the late Helen (nee Arnold), fond step-son to Nancy Tavernelli, cherished brother of Joey (wife Cass), Paul (wife Diana), Diane Timken (husband Kevin), Joe (wife Sharon) and Jim (wife Amanda), treasured uncle and great-uncle to many. The family wishes to offer sincere thanks to the Luke Reif Family, and to Matthew Frazier (wife Lindsay) who was like a son to Mark.
Mark was a resident of South Euclid for 27 years. He was a parishioner of Gesu Catholic Church. Mark graduated from Euclid High School and attended Case Western Reserve University and Cleveland State University. He was employed as a computer analyst at Moen, Inc. Mark enjoyed being with his family, writing, watching Harry Potter movies and reading. His favorite music was classic rock and Christmas music. Mark was a Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns fan. He enjoyed being involved in his children’s activities and going to White Horse beach in Plymouth, Massachusetts. His family remembers him as being smart, funny, meticulous, caring, generous and kind-hearted.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mark suggested to Cleveland Clinic Hospice at Home, 6801 Brecksville Rd., Suite #10, Independence, Ohio 44131 or to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, Ohio 44110.
Liturgy of the Word services Monday, December 8, 2014, at Gesu Catholic Church at 10:00 AM. Burial following in Lake View Cemetery. The family will receive friends to pay tribute and celebrate the life of Mark at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just East of Green Rd.) on SUNDAY from 2:00 to 6:00 PM.
