Mark S. Mytro was born on July 7, 1959 in Cleveland and passed away suddenly on December 10, 2021 at the age of 62. Mark spent his early years living in Streetsboro and ending in Chesterland where he graduated from West Geauga. After high school, Mark, always proud to be an American, enlisted into the United States Navy. He was on the U.S.S. Proteus and stationed in Guam.
After the Navy, Mark resided in Texas for a few years where he was gifted with his first son Matthew. He then later returned to Ohio where he continued the skilled trade he had learned and taken after his late father as a machine repair/millwright. Mark loved what he did and was incredibly talented at it. With his skill set he was able to take on jobs that took him to China, Japan, and parts of the United States.
Mark then later met his wife Laurie in 1987 whom he later married and was then blessed with two more sons Marcus and Nicholas. Mark and Laurie then spent close to 35 years loving, caring, and supporting each other. Mark was a very proud father and let his boys know that; a true family man.
Mark enjoyed the times that he and Matt spent together, before and during Browns games, fantasy football, and enjoying the food he made. Mark was involved with Marcus and all of his sports through high school and was constantly his biggest fan. Mark and Nick would go out on fishing trips on their boat known as “Puddle Jumper”, or they would just enjoy taking trips out to gun shows together. Mark especially loved the times with his wife going on motorcycle runs, concerts, enjoying beer fests, listening to his rock and roll while throwing the ball to his two German shepherds, and just relaxing poolside.
Mark was a go-to person to help solve problems, a shoulder to cry on, and one heck of a cook; our rock. He was always right and it drove everyone crazy, it became a game to try to prove him wrong, and rarely did we win.
Mark leaves behind his loving wife Laurie of 34 years, three incredible sons and daughter in law. Matthew (wife Randi), Marcus, Nick and his two precious granddaughters Olivia and Alexis whom on sleepovers would have a morning menu set for them to choose their favorite dish by grandpa. Mark was loved by his mother Lou Ann (nee Bartley) and the late Steve Mytro; cherished brother of Sherry (husband Don) Cuddy and Teri (husband Kevin) Livingston. Dear uncle, brother-in-law, and friend to many that he loved like a family.
Mark is followed in death by his father Steve and favorite German Shepherd Gunner, all together again.
U.S. Navy Veteran.
