MARK D. FORKER age 48, beloved husband for 14 years of Hallie (nee Myeress); loving father of Nolan, Phoebe and Gavin; cherished son of Jeffrey (deceased) and Alice (nee Horton); dearest brother of William Toth (wife Kristine), Denise Sciaulino (husband Frank), Melanie Nosan (fiancé Ahmed Marashly), and Shannon Kachline (husband Jeffrey); godfather to Kelsea Sciaulino and Stephen Orlic; uncle of 10 nieces and nephews.

Mark was born on September 8, 1969 and passed away on December 8, 2017. He was a former member of the SCBWI (Society of Children’s Books Writers and Illustrators). Mark attended Euclid High School and graduated from Chardon High School. He graduated from Mount Union University and was a member of Phi Kappa Tau Fraternity. Mark proudly worked as an independent financial advisor, he was a salesman at Penton Media and co-owner of Forker Media. In his free time Mark greatly enjoyed camping, writing, attending U2 concerts with his wife Hallie and was a published author of “Gnomans Land”. He was working on his new novel. Mark loved spending time with his family, especially his wife Hallie and children Nolan, Phoebe, and Gavin. His favorite memories were spending time with his family during the holidays, family reunions in Florida, and movie night with his kids. Mark was kind, had a very good sense of humor, loved by all, was the most generous person in the world, and he was always helping people. He will be dearly missed by all.

In lieu of flowers please make contributions to Mark’s family. Cremation by DeJohn Crematory. Celebration of Life Service Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 10 AM at THE FUNERAL HOME. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Mark at THE DeJOHN FUNERAL HOME & CELEBRATIONS CENTER OF CHESTERLAND 12811 CHILLICOTHE ROAD (Rt. 306, just south of Mayfield Rd.) WEDNESDAY 2-4 & 5-7 PM.
