Marjia L. Hehr

MARJIA L. HEHR (nee Ruffin) age 84, beloved wife for 59 years of Albert G. Jr.; loving mother of Amy H. Kassouf, MD (husband Philip), Albert G. III (wife Michelle) and the late Andrew W.; devoted grandmother of  twins Alyssa and Austin Kassouf, Albert G. IV and Isabella; cherished daughter of the late Ronald E. and Stella E. (nee Cates) Ruffin; dearest sister of Bettie Beck (husband Jay, deceased) and the late Edward Ruffin (wife Alice); dear aunt of R.D.  and Bridget Ruffin and great-aunt of many.

Marjia lived in Mayfield Village since 1965 and grew up in Iowa. She graduated from Bettendorf High School in 1955 and went on to undergraduate school at CSU and Graduated from Cleveland Marshall Law in 1974. Marjia loved painting and traveling. She was a fierce advocate and very determined for what she believed in with an eye on politics. Marjia loved to debate and was very intelligent, spiritual and a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Marjia to the ACLU. Celebration of Life Service Wednesday December 7, 2022 at 7:00 pm at the Funeral Home.  Graveside Service Thursday December 8, 2022 at 11:00 am at Whitehaven Memorial Park Cemetery (Please meet at the gate). Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Marjia at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) WEDNESDAY 3 – 7 PM.
