Marilyn J. Lindbloom

MARILYN J. LINDBLOOM (nee Kern), age 78. Died peacefully at her home surrounded by her family after her courageous battle with cancer. Beloved mother of Ronald H., Jr, Jeffry K. (wife Bonnie), Beth Anne Giglio, Patricia A. Farinacci (husband Nicholas) and the late Mark S. Loving grandmother of Jaymes, Alyssa, Jessica, Violet and Salvatore “Sammy”. Cherished daughter of the late Herbert and Marguerite (nee Barringer) Kern. Dearest sister of JoAnn Jeska (husband Robert) and the late Michael Barna. Former wife of the late Ronald H., Sr. Dear “surrogate” mother and friend to many.

Marilyn loved gardening and playing the piano. She enjoyed her pets and her charities and Thanksgiving was her favorite holiday. Marilyn spent 35 years working for the Shaker Board of Education, retiring in 2009. She belonged to the Italian American Club as well as the Eastside Irish American Club. She was a 25 year resident of South Euclid and Shaker Heights and a long-time member of St. Margaret Mary parish in South Euclid. Her family remembers her as a loving and warm person whose generosity and open-minded, open-armed, welcoming ways will be missed by all who knew her. Marilyn loved her children and grandchildren above all else.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at 10:30 AM, at St. Paschal Baylon Catholic Church 5384 Wilson Mills Rd, Highland Hts, OH 44143. A reception will take place immediately following the Mass at Alfredo’s at the Holiday Inn (Mayfield Village).

Interment will take place privately at Crown Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Marilyn at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF SOUTH EUCLID, 4600 MAYFIELD RD. (just east of Green Rd.) on Friday, December 17, 2010 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM.
