Marilee Deatherage

MARILEE K. DEATHERAGE (nee Knebel) age 88, beloved wife of the late Harry O.; loving mother of Stephen (wife Pergentina “Jeane”), Andrew “Woody” and the late Peter H. (wife Deirdre); devoted grandmother of Daniel (wife Anna), Matthew, Hannah and great-grandmother of Daisy; dearest sister of Joanne Swanson; dear aunt and great-aunt of many.

Marilee was born on December 31, 1928 in Pueblo, Colorado and passed away on March 6, 2017. She was a resident of Burton for 9 years, formerly of Arizona. Marilee graduated from High School in Iowa and enjoyed being a homemaker. She was an avid reader and loved to travel, especially to Ireland, Scotland and France. Marilee enjoyed playing cards and listening to classical music. She will be remembered most as a giving, strong, independent and social woman. Marilee will be dearly missed.

Cremation by DeJohn Crematory. Celebration of Life Service Saturday, March 11, 2017 at 2 PM at THE FUNERAL HOME. Private burial at Welton Cemetery in Burton, Ohio. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Marilee at THE DeJOHN Funeral Home & Crematory of Chardon (formerly Ritondaro) 126 South St.  (Rt. 44, south of Rt. 6/Chardon Square) SATURDAY 12-2 PM.
