Marijayne Compo

MARIJAYNE C. COMPO (nee Cassidy) age 87, beloved wife of the late Peter J.; loving mother of Regina Ohlrogge (husband Russ, deceased), Renee Marincic (husband Kenny) and step-mother of Roger (wife Karen); devoted grandmother of Dominic (fiancée Melissa Kaule), Karmell (wife Angela) and Nickolas Ohlrogge and David Maksymowicz and great grandmother of Keelan, Montey, Mia, Lucas, and Selah; dearest daughter of the late Elmer and Matilda (nee Kulikowsky) Cassidy; cherished sister of the late John Cassidy, Betty Muenger, and Dolly Cottrell; dear aunt and great-aunt of many.

Marijayne has lived in Euclid for the last 61 years where she attended Ss. Robert and William Catholic Church for last seven years, previously a parishioner of St. Christine.

Marijayne always displayed an exemplary work ethic.  She worked as an accountant at the School of Dentistry at Case Western Reserve University, prior to which she was a banker. When she wasn’t working, Marijayne stayed active as a member and officer in numerous community groups.  She got the most enjoyment from her family, watching her grandchildren and, now, great grandchildren grow. She loved to sew and travel, enjoying numerous cruises, trips to Hawaii and other US locations.

Marijayne was a loyal blood donor to the American Red Cross Apheresis Program where she accomplished a donation of 20 gallons of life saving plasma.

Marijayne was an active member of the Euclid AARP and the senior tax Preparation Program, and previously of the Teamsters 964, Little Italy Retirees and Beta Sigma Phi sorority.  She volunteered at Cleveland Clinic Euclid Hospital.

Mass of Christian Burial Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Ss. Robert and William Catholic Church at 11 AM. Cremation following by DeJohn Crematory. Private Burial will take place at Lake View Cemetery. Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Marijayne at THE DeJOHN-FLYNN-MYLOTT FUNERAL HOME OF WILLOUGHBY HILLS, 28890 CHARDON ROAD (between Bishop Rd. and Rt. 91) MONDAY 4-8 PM.
